Selected as digital agency following a competitive tender, Slipstream have worked with the new Ellen Macarthur Foundation from it’s inception, owning, advising, and delivering on all digital elements to their communication plan. This culminated in the recent public launch and unveiling of a new website, blog and digital back-office tool.
The site follows the central charity brand, and delivers all of their wide (and growing content) in an easy to find, read and watch style. Leading to the welcome to new users on the site are three key videos, available to play direct from the home page and already proving to be the most popular content.
Important to this site has been the ability to look forward and consider the launch as only the start of a fast moving organisation. With this in mind Slipstream have ensured that each element of the site, both technical and in user experience, are designed to allow for the growth, scale and future types of content.
Slipstream chose to develop a custom CMS (Content Management System) and back-office toolset, allowing any of the EMF sites, and contact management, to be controlled from one central location. This all in one solution has been developed to suit the process map of the new charity, and developed using latest technologies including Rails 3, Solr, and HTML5 video delivery from a CDN (Content Delivery Network).
Looking forward at the charities next activities Slipstream will continue working in an advisory and delivery role across digital, online campaign and lead strategy.
